Stale food. I rarely dislike any food but this was the worst experience. Only good thing about this restaurant is ambience. Wait, I will take that back the place was stinking and I felt little suffocated. We ordered butter chicken saag chana, butter roti n garlic naan. Good thing: complimentary Papad n chutneys (these were actually good thats why 2 stars). A couple sitting on next table were complaining about food as well, the kofta tasted awful they said. I won’t go back here. Worst Indian food ever tasted.
Great food nice atmosphere
Nice servers good food reasonably priced. Best gulab jamun I have ever had.
Rotis and naans were really good, best ones in Seattle, the portion of curries were less compared to the cost.
Hands down best indian food I've had. Came here to celebrate passing a board exam for my degree. Literally ate all the food in one sitting it was so good
Good location. Easy to find. Good food and friendly people.
Food is delicious.Love the huge garlic naan
I am ethnically Indian.. and this is probably the worst Indian meal I have had in 30 years of my life.
Roti has always been a favorite and a go-to for the best Indian food in the city. Once you sit down you are given papadum with three delicious chutneys- all taste homemade. The green mint chutney is my favorite. The butter chicken is full of flavor compared to other places I’ve been to. We normally get the garlic naan, aloo jera naan, butter chicken, saag paneer and chicken tikka. The owners are also very kind and we enjoy seeing them every time we come in. If you haven’t been here you are missing out. We’ve taken friends, family and neighbors that agree this is THE spot for Indian food. It’s disappointing to see people leave bad reviews, you must not be used to delicious Indian food with complex spices and flavor.
Kind owners make you feel like you are eating dinner at their house. Delicious food.
As close as you can get to authentic Indian food in this area. Prices are not bad either. Would go again.
Hands down best Tandoori chicken in Seattle.
It was terrible. The interior was beautiful. The food was horrible. The wait took way too long as my friends and I noticed the workers standing around frequently. I also noticed other customers complaining about wait time and we also saw rude customer service. It’s a shame that this is even considered Indian food. I hope that customers don’t consider this as Indian food. Absolute disgrace and was absolutely terrible.
I placed a walk in take out order. I wanted 2 Chicken Tikka Kabab. I got instead was 2 chicken tandoori & rice that I didn’t order. Goodbye!
I loved this place. It is within walking distance of all the tourist attractions in downtown Seattle. I stayed at the Marqueen and had lunch here. They had a menu for lunch, but I hardly even looked at it as the vegetarian special sounded great. It turned out to be as good as it sounded. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Indian food.
Got food hot and quick via grub.
Order the lamb. You won’t be angry. I came here at eight thirty and usually when restaurants get close to closing time the food quality goes down. THIS PLACE HAD THE BEAT LAMB. I usually hit up bengal tiger for their lunch buffet but since I live in SoDo this is my new dinner spot. Also the staff was nice. Don’t know what the other reviews were about :/
Really delicious food, I ordered the lamb saag and it was super creamy and flavorful. Other places I've been to around town make you pay extra for rice and chutney, here they came with the food as well as papadum which was crunchy and good. We also ordered pakoras and those were delicious too. Like other reviewers said, the bathroom isn't gorgeous but I wasn't here for the bathroom! Would definitely come back for dinner again!
No air condition....fans everywhere and food got cold very fast
I've eaten here 3 times over the last couple of years, each time I've visited Seattle. The location is fine, the atmosphere is authenticate and the food is generally good. The portions are generous with one important exception, the meat. In my last visit the lamb vindaloo was mostly sauce and potatoes with a lot less meat than I'd like. The naan and mango lassi were very generous. The service was fine, we didn't have to wait long for anything and it was 7pm on Saturday. I will try again in a few months when I'm back in town.
Absolutely phenomenal Indian Food .Specially mango chicken it was great. I would love to visit this place all the time.
Decorated with beautiful carved wooden panels around the walls and deeply carved wooden tables surfaced with glass. The food is excellent (I have yet to go beyond medium on the spices) they have Mango, strawberry, pineapple & coconut Lassi. Chicken Biryani. Coconut Salmon, mehthi chicken, Mango Jal-frezi, and several types of Naan - special Naan with cherries & nuts was excellent (closest to dessert I have tried here). Everything was nicely seasoned and delicious. I have been here twice and will be back again. Maybe someday I will save room for their dessert menu.
As per me not very authentic Indian style of cooking. I found imbalance of spices in all cuisines we ordered. Also restrooms were not very clean and seems not to have hand wash soap that made me wonder.
We have been going here for a while. ok on service and good on food but then today we saw the whole bunch of rat poop behind a completely covered with dust wooden statue that almost made us throw up. This is really really bad! Behind the wooden window-like design on wall, we saw a whole bunch of god-knows-what ! Will NEVER go back here again!
Worst food ever. I wanted to give 0.5 star but there was no option. Naan was raw and curry was tasteless. Ruined our dinner
We loved this place! The decor is inviting, the goat was delish as well as the paneer. The rice was perfect and fragrant as well the chutneys. Loved it! Get the garlic naan. My photo is of empty dishes cause I forgot to take photos before we ate EVERYTHING!
Seems like a nice place, I have not tried their food yet. I did get a mango lassi. I was hoping they used real fruit, but they do not. They use mango juice and yogurt.. and it costs about $5. The lassi tasted great, not crazy sweet like some places make it, sweetness was just right. I'll report back after trying their food too.
I LOVE Indian food and unfortunately, Roti does not live up. The Naan is dry and a dish listed as "mixed vegetables" was just onions. Gave a star back because I did really like the chana saag but overall I'd say, you can find much better Indian than this.
Amazing food quality and great ambience !
Ordered lunch box. But Idid not receive the full order. If you expect us to support you in this time then please be a bit more cautious and professional.
Today i ordered food from Roti Restaurant, and the food reminded me of the flavors of my homecountry, the flavors, i really missed from last few years. I would love to recommend this restaurant to each and everybody who's visiting seattle downtown. Do visit this place .
Delicious curry chicken and butter chicken, everything you'd want on a nice date night.
Went to this restaurant on August 27, 2019. I ordered garlic naan, paneer tikka masala, vegetable biryani, and aloo jeera naan. The naans didn’t have any butter and were undercooked. I could taste bitter dough as I chewed through every horrid bite. The tikka masala tasted like someone added red coloring to water, forgot to add salt, and served it. Don’t come here.
Very Bad Experience with the quantity they provided with that much price!!Will never Use this Restaurant again!
Food is always excellent and I habitually choose Roti Cuisine of India over the other Indian restaurants in Seattle. Closest food I've tasted to my favorite Indian restaurant in Durban. We order in frequently from here.
Beautifully carved interior walls, peaceful mood-lit atmosphere, and some of the best mixed/shredded veggie Pakoras in town! Perfect fry-to-veg ratio. I love that they bring an entire tray of dipping sauces out before meal, and serve complimentary crisps. Can't beat location next to Seattle Center.
Subpar meal. Don't plan to reorder from this restaurant.
The food here is very good. The atmosphere is really fun: ornate but not flashy, with a decoratively lit ceiliing and lots of carved panels on the walls. The service can be iffy on busy nights, but the warmth of the hosts more than makes up for it.
Food was excellent and was the atmosphere and service!
Worst Shahi Paneer, I ever had. The curry was grainy with too much red Chilli powder.
This is hands down the best Indian place I have found in Seattle so far. They are not afraid to use proper spices, level 5 actually means hot. The madras, paneer & vindaloo are my favourites.
Delicious! After trying multiple Indian restaurants around and being disappointed, I decided to give Roti a chance. Have ordered 3 times in 2 weeks and every time it has beaten my expectation. Chicken curry and Chicken biryani were done perfect. They have Tikka masala sauce as a side on their menu and it's so tasty by itself. You can have it with rice or bread.
Food was not bad but butter naan was undercooked. Decent prices. Hesitant with future visits as we saw rats in the dining area roaming around freely. A huge turn off and hence the rating
Order chicken tikka masala. The food was delicious and garlic naan was ‘omg’ huge!! The place is great for food but when it comes to customer service, that’s what makes me give it 4 star and not 5.
I have eaten at Roti a number of times and have always found the food to be excellent. I always love the aroma when you first enter. Today was no exception. The food was served promptly and it was delicious. The decor is up scale traditional Indian. The server was nice enough.
The ABSOLUTE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN THE CITY!!!!!!! So amazing the atmosphere is fantastic. It really takes you to a different place. The food is phenomenal. The service is fantastic. I highly recommend this delicious eatery.
We had the mango curry, the coconut curry, and the garlic Naan. These dishes didn't excite the palate, but instead reminded me of a home chef who had tasted good curry somewhere once and tried his hardest to replicate it. The presentation was nice enough. Most of the obvious curry spices were there but in all the wrong proportions. They overused oil, overcooked chicken, overcooked the naan, over salted, and under seasoned the curry. The only thing that was missing was a guy prodding you in the ribs two bites in asking, "Eh? How did I do?" as you try to come up with a way to let him own easy.
Here is photo of the burnt to crisp chicken they delivered. Good news they didnt deliver utensils so i had nothing to eat this burnt turd with anyway.
We ordered something called 'Mint chicken' and this is what we got. Food coloring on chicken, this is the most digusting chicken I ever had. Never ordering again!!!
I ordered onion naan and paneer tikka masala. I've never had an onion naan this tasteless. Perhaps there wasn't enough onions in it. Paneer tikka masala at medium spice level was sweet and bright orange in color. Overall very disappointing experience.
